Who WAS Jesus? Part 2
Speaking of “evil” men, one might look at Elijah, who said he was from God. It is written that Elijah killed 400 of the king’s religious ministers. He cut off their heads. Now tell me, if a man showed up out of the woods and killed 400 Baptist ministers, would you consider him to be from God? No, you would consider him a terrorist, or at least, a murderer. Do you think if Mr. Bush was having a prayer breakfast, and someone came in claiming to be from God, and he killed all of the ministers present, that Mr. Bush would think he was from God? You know the answer very well.
These things I am saying are not to mock the Scriptures. They are to mock the modern conception concerning God’s Messengers. They are not as one would think if one saw them in person. Modern religion has recreated God’s Messiahs and Messengers into supermen. They were not supermen. They looked very common and ordinary, and sometimes they did things that seemed very bizarre to the onlooker.
Isaiah walked around naked and barefoot (So did David) after he said that God told him to. "At the same time spake the Lord by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot." Isaiah 20:2. Tell me, Oh discerner of God’s holy men, would you accept someone who said he was from God who walked around naked and barefoot? No, you would call 9-1-1 and you know you would. His generation did also, and they sawed the man in half. That was the end of this naked walker.
Moses was not the great Charleton Heston. Moses herded animals for a living. He had been herding animals for forty years. That Moses was God’s Messiah. The Jesus I described was God’s Messiah. God chooses the foolish things of earth to confound those who think they know so much. He hides Himself from the wise and the prudent, but reveals Himself to children. It is later generations that take foolish things and make sense out of them. Then they worship the nice, clean and washed, version of their mental image.
Jesus was hardly a man yet. He was 30 years old, homeless and had not been to school. He grew up working as a common laborer with his father, and everyone knew his mother got pregnant before she was married. Now tell me, would you accept this kind of man, claiming to be God, today? No, you would not, and you know you would not. Jesus had no formal education, he wrote none of the Scriptures and he had no job when he left home. The people who knew of his history considered him a bastard child. You all know this, and yet you say that he is God, because some of his followers claimed he was and your preachers say he was, and you have washed up your image of him into something you can accept. Some of you have the witness of the Holy Ghost working in you that tells you the records of Him are true; that Jesus is indeed the Christ.
I come to you educated; I have a place to lay my head; and I have more maturity in age, yet you don’t believe me either, just as his generation did not believe him. You see, it doesn’t matter who God sends, the wise and the prudent will not receive them. They think they know how God--and God's servants-- will act and look-and what they will say.
So, now you may reject me also. But the Father in heaven does not regard people by how they look. He sends those who will go, and He sends people least likely to be believed. God sent one of His prophets and told him to marry a whore. "And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms." Hosea 1:2. Now consider this. Hosea finds a whore he likes and tells everyone that God told him to marry her. Hosea wrote the book we just quoted from. He is the only one on earth who knew whether God had told him anything. There were no other witnesses; he just said it about himself, yet people these days say that what Hosea said is the word of God.
What if a modern day man who claimed to be a prophet, went to Las Vegas and married one of the whores there, would you believe he was a prophet? What if a man came to you and said, “God told me to commit adultery”, would you believe him? No, you would not. Not only was marrying a prostitute against the law, the prostitute was to be stoned according to the law of Moses. Hosea was a lawbreaker and yet every one who believes the Bible in toto believes the Book of Hosea is the indisputable word of God...part of the blueprint for everybody's lives-- and every word to be taken literally.
Have you become so caught up in the letter of the law that you cannot recognize the Spirit when it lands on you? Jesus said to the scribes and pharisees of his time, "Woe unto you, lawyers! For ye have taken away the key of knowledge; ye entereth not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered." Luke11:52 And what did the churchmen do? Read on and see--they tried to get him to say something that they could use to trip him up. They didn't want to allow those who wished to hear Jesus' words to come into the temple. They didn't accept his teachings and didn't intend to let anyone else get the chance to accept them either. So, what Jesus was saying here was that they had locked the door on spiritual knowledge--but first, they had shoved out those who were trying to enter to learn, and that is exactly what is still being done today.
The reason that the Father in heaven is not concerned about appearances, is because He works on the level of the Spirit. The true people of God will hear my voice, no matter what I look like. I speak the truth, and those who hear the truth will hear me. Those who don’t hear the truth, will only see someone they have contempt for and judge me by appearances. This is how it has always been. The believers in the prophets were only those who heard the Spirit of God speak within themselves. Others would not believe. "God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in Truth." John 4:24
The Jesus and the Moses of Scripture, as well as all of the prophets, did not look like modern man pictures them. Of Jesus it was prophesied: "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him." Isaiah 53:2. Have you ever seen a root out of dry ground? This is the Scripture that Christians use to describe Jesus. They don’t believe it though, when they quote it. It is true, however, that Jesus was not pretty. He was not handsome. He looked ordinary, plain, and very unmessiahlike to them. He was brown as the other people in the middle east are brown. Moses also did not look like much of a deliverer. Pharaoh was not impressed with how he looked. The prophets did not look very much like men from God. Most of them were killed.
The disciples of Jesus did not stand out much either, except for Judas, who didn’t like to work. They were weary fishermen. They smelled like fishermen, also. Some of the time they didn’t get along very well. Sometimes they were not happy with what Jesus was doing.
Would you be impressed by one coming today, claiming to be a Messiah who had about a dozen followers who smelled like fish and who looked like any plumber or ditch digger on the block? No, you would have the same contempt as the Jews had for Jesus. The Pharisees said things like, " He should get a life. He should get a job and do something useful besides hanging around whores and tax collectors and upsetting the true worship of God; he has it all wrong and he degrades our religion. He isn't a real Jew teaching the pure religion."
Most of the churches of today do not worship the real Christ. They have made up how Jesus must have appeared. They have manufactured a story about how they would have followed Christ had they been there in his day. But would they have? Or would they have belonged to the First United Church of the Pharisees? You know, the one with standards- the only ones who are going to enter into the Kingdom.
Let's be a fly on the wall at communion time. They have little crackers almost too small to get hold of, and tiny glasses of grape juice that they drink, saying they are partaking of God. They say that those things they bought at Kroger's are Jesus’ body and blood. They have no idea at all as to the nature of his body and blood. The size of those crackers though, does show just how much of Christ they really want to ingest. It is just about enough to get stuck between the teeth, but it surely won’t fill the stomach or the soul. Some of these people will receive the mark of the beast, thinking they follow God, because their image of God has been manufactured from the imagination of the beast, spiffed up and given shelf appeal.
Here I am, saying, God sent me to you and my message is that God has shown me things. I have been shown, among other things, that God is not entirely Male but has a Feminine Aspect, too. I have been shown that God can speak to us in other ways than reading the Bible. The Earth around you is alive and feminine--all your God given senses tell you this is true. All of nature speaks the truth of a dual creation--Male and Female. Side by side, dependant on one another; equally important in the scheme of things. "And God said, "Let us create man in our image, after our likeness." " So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him: Male and Female created he them." Gen.1:26-27 " Now you can decide how you will receive this. I come in Spirit and in Truth, and this truth doesn’t look like what you have been taught. It diverges from the traditions of men. It is a new way of thinking to you--but it is as old as the caves. The ball is in your court. What will you do with it?

Seeker, you should know this: You are not a body that just happens to contain a soul. You are an eternal, everlasting, spiritual being who is contained within the temporeal necessity of a flesh and blood body. You are the product of the work of the Almighty, conceived first of all in the mind of God. You are not a mistake and you are not powerless. The power of the universe is poised to move through you at any given time. All you need do is be willing--a yeilded conduit through which the Spirit can move. Listen to the words of Jesus:
" Verily, verily, I say unto you, they that believeth on me, the works that I do shall they do also; and greater works than these shall they do; because I go to my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name , that will I do, that the Father be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." ~John 14:12-14

These are power words. Believe them; use them.
Peace & Blessings be with you.
