The 2nd Pokémon movie came out in theaters in July of 2000. My Husband and I took our oldest daughter to go see it. It was her first time ever in a movie theater and she loved watching Pokémon on that big screen!
I loved this movie so much. And one thing I loved most about it was the "score". The score is the music of a movie that is more like the background music. Most scores from movies don't make it to the soundtrack, but a few of the scores made it to this soundtrack. I also like the fact that they brought in a few classic artists such as Weird Al, Donna Summer and the B52's.
Anyhoo, this movie is basically about a old legend that is comming true, a legend that foretells the end of the world. And lucky enough for Ash, he is somehow "the chosen one". In other words, he is the only one who can save the world. His name is even mentioned in the legend. "...the world will turn to Ash...".
In the movie we see Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos and Lugia, which really leaves me curious about something, where does the other legendary bird Ho-Oh fit in? Oh well, we may never know...
