About Sweetgran Hi! I'm Sweetgran the manager of this group. My real name is LaVonne but everyone calls me Sweetgran and I like that. I am 55 yrs old and very happily married to my husband, Dave, for 37 years! We live in a small cozy home in Minnesota. I don't work outside of the home as I have an illness called Fibromyalgia and I am not able to do a lot of things, but I do take care of my elderly mother. I also suffer from degenerative disc disease, arthritis in my back and menieres syndrom. My hubby and I have 2 grown children, a girl and a boy. Our Son is 36 years old and married to a lovely woman who had a son, Christopher (12) by her first marriage and together they have a daughter, Isabella (5). We love Christopher as if he was born into our family and Isabella is our only granddaughter and we are so totally inamored with her. Our son is a career Marine and unfortunately he and his family are always stationed on one side of the country or another and we usually get to see them once or twice a year. This makes it difficult to get close to our grandchildren and be the kind of grandparents we would love to be. Our Daughter is 34 and lives in the same town as we do. She is a single mom and has a boy, Dillon, (11) who we get to see nearly every day. (We do go from one extreme to another!) I take Dillon to school every day and he comes to our house after school every afternoon. He has been the love of our life! He keeps us young and wears us out, all at the same time! LOL I love to crochet, quilt, sew, play on my computer and I love crafts of just about any kind! I love trying something new! My Birthday is April 5th My Anniversary is July 17th That's me in a nutshell!

Hi my real name is Pat and my group name is Ladybug, and yes, I do like to collect Ladybug items. I am a mother of three, (2 boys, 1 girl), I have 5 grandchildren and 2 wonderful great grandchildren. My husband Don and I have been married for almost 49 years now. My Birthday is Dec 10 and our anniversary is on Sept 7. I have have a spoiled Min Pin about 1 year old. I love doing crafts altho I don't do as much as I used to. My main hobby is making greeting cards. I used to give classes in card making at our local craft store. We used to spend our summers at our trailer but just recently sold it. It was getting too much for hubby to keep up, so now we are looking for a new summertime activity. We do like to go walking on the many walking trails we have in our area. We live a little town called Elora in South Western Ontario in Canada. A lovely tourist area.

Hi I.m Colette and I live in North Carolina near the beach. I am married to my wonderful husband Glenn for 37 years. We have three children two daughters and a son and two grandsons Hayden and Collin. I'm from Scotland and I came to America as a nanny. I met my husband four years after I got here. He was in the Marine Corps for twenty two years we retired in NC. We have three children two girls Denise and Michelle and a son Daniel and also two grandsons Hayden and Collin. Hayden is three and Collin just turned one. THe boys are my pride an joy unfortunatley we don't get to see them a lot as they live four hours from us. We both work so going every week is out of the question. My daughter Michelle ( there mom) is a school teacher and there dad is working on his PhD. I love camping and reading and travelling. In the 37 years we have lived in Japan, California,Virginia,Connecticut,Massachetts,Yuma AZ and North Carolina. In June we are going home to Scotland for my mothers 100th birthday. We will be spending three days in London with my Son Daniel who lives there. I guess my son and daughter Denise got the travel bug from us as they are constantly travelling the World Denise is a professor of International studies and takes students to Thailand every summer. I'm looking forward to meeting wonerful friends in the group. Colette

Hi I am very happy to be welcomed to this wonderful group. My real name is Pat, but for this group I go by Lynn (AKA LyBBee or Patti). I live in the great Pacific Northwest - Tacoma, WASH. Believe it or not, it snowed the last couple days and is snowing even now---ground is solid white, but my rhoddies, daffodils and bluebells are bloomin even. I have been married for 24 years, but we have been together for 28 years. We have lived in here in WA for 21 years. We are retired military and we have had enough of moving :>). We have three kids: daugther 24 moved back home last summer, and is about ready to move out again about five miles away. Son 20 is here again, gone again, gone more than not. Son 13 years old --- turned into a stranger this last year as a teenager but he's 'our' baby. MIL also lives with us for now. She was evacuated from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina in 2005. I also have a border collie Molly who loves to try and 'herd' things. I help out in the nursery at church, holding babies. I love to read and be on the computer and spending time with my family. I saved the best for last: 20 year old son is a daddy: his baby daugther is so prescious - 8 mos old--lil Nevaeh Heaven. Baby's mommy is only 17 so her and the baby still live with her mom, brother and sister. Not our choice of course, but you cannot resist the baby. She is a darling. And, hard to believe, but son and baby's mommy have another one on the way: due in August. Lil angels--both of them. I had no idea I would take to being a gramma so well. I am hmmmm, over 55, okay, okay--I'm 57, hubby is 61. Anniv is 24 Jan. My birthday 31 Jul, his is 30 Nov.

Hello fellow grandparents! I am so happy to have my first grand-child (beautiful little girl Kara - 5 months old) and I can't wait to learn from you all and share as things happen!
About me - well I'm in my late 50s, married for nearly 38 years and am a very positive person. Born in Scotland, but have lived in Australia for 36 years, and currently touring USA (weekend in Boston, MA, today in Hartford,CT flying to St Louis, MO tomorrow then Dallas, Texas next week and then ?)!!
Although this trip has only been for a week so far, I'm going through severe granddaughter withdrawal symptoms, hence my seeking a group where people would understand........
I love trying to keep fit and healthy, enjoy cooking and making healthy but scrumptious meals. My priorities in life are family, family, family. I treasure my friends, red wine and my home.
I really look forward to getting to know you all and to hear about your grandchildren. I'll try to post some pictures when I find out how to do it.
Thank you for making me so welcome, Linda x

Hi Everyone - and thanks for welcoming me into this group.
I have 2 living grandchildren ages 7 (dear craftster Bella) and almost 1 Sawyer (he's celebrating his first b-day on Ground Hog Day!). I also have an angel-baby granddaughter. Delaney was born and only lived for a few hours December 26 2004.
I have 2 daughters, Trish (mom to the grandkids above) and Bekah. Both live in New England and I live in southern PA, so we use the 'net alot to keep in touch and share pictures and video clips.
I love gardening and crafts, and I must confess I spend a lot of time on the computer - but it's all for good, because I'm a digital artist and love working for myself from my home studio.
