Please email me before listing any dogs! This is not a place to advertise your dogs! It's a private board for dogs that are being placed by the Great Dane Rescue of Northern CA!

Great Dane Rescue of Northern CA requires that all dogs be spayed or neutered, that the adopting party has a fenced yard or kennel run, and that the dog must be maintained as a housepet.

Before adoption, each dog is spayed or neutered and vaccinated as needed. We also provide any other veterinary care that might be necessary. We strive to place only healthy and temperamentally sound dogs.

Upon adoption, the new owner is required to complete an adoption contract that states the terms of adoption. One of the terms is that if the adopting party can no longer keep the dog, it must be returned to Great Dane Rescue of Northern CA.

Great Dane Rescue of Northern CA requests a $250.00 (may be more for young pups) donation for the adoption of a Great Dane through our program. Which helps in the cost spay or neuter charges and other veterinary charges that we may have incurred. Operating our program in a caring and professional manner is important to us; and we can only do this through donations.

Besides placements and adoptions, we can offer information on the breed, answer questions on care and training, and just "talk Danes". The representatives serving Great Dane Rescue of Northern CA have been involved with Great Danes for many years. Their combined experience in the breed ranges from showing in obedience and conformation, breeding, and being concerned pet owners. All have in common a great love for the breed.
