About Us
"The Group" is composed of filmmakers and an unlimited number of collaborators. Collaborators fall under one of two categories: Talent or Crew. We're always looking for talent, crew members, or prospective collaborators. If you're an actor, submit your headshot/resume to us. Others, please contact us with an introduction, resume, etc. Group101 Films Colorado formed in April 2003 by Michael Conti along with 9 hard working professionals in the entertainment and media industries. We are an official distant chapter of Group101 Films Los Angeles which formed in January 2000.
When To Register
Group101 members commit to a six month session during which each member shoots a short film every 30 days. No new members are added during that time to an existing wave. Registration to join opens monthly, at the start of a new theme. To registered as a director, please email one of the members listed below with your interest and he will provide further details on joining. Requirements
Group101 invites and encourages everyone to be a member whether you are a first time filmmaker or a seasoned professional. You need nothing but the desire to grow as a filmmaker and assist your fellow members in their growth. You will be required to write a statement of intent that illustrates what you hope to achieve in your six month session, and your group members will hold you to that statement! We also encourage the following 10 rules be followed by the directors.
Commitment
Destroying inertia works best when you've got a group of your peers ready to kick your behind if you slack off. Therefore, Group101 requires 100% commitment every month. You'll learn a lot about resourcefulness and creativity, and you'll have six new films in your filmography. A six month enrollment in Group101 is $60 per person for new members. Returning members will benefit in discounted tickets for quarterly screenings, annual events and other perks that are being offered to actively enrolled directors.
I'm an actor/crew member...can I help out?
If you are joining for the first time, make an announcement about yourself to the rest of the group. It can be brief, just tell us your real name and interests, and what you have done in the past related to this type of work. Actors should use the folder entitled Head Shots for posting resumes. It will make it easier for directors to find actors, actresses for their films.

Monthly Activities
All registered directors meet the first Monday of the month at a private location to preview and discuss their work based upon a previous month's selected theme. This meeting is not open to the contributors. However, there is a public short film showcases at monthly.
