Helen Cast is an FEI Competitor - USDF Silver & Gold Medalist - British Horse Society Instructor, trained with International trainers: Donald Kear (a student of Charles deKunffy), Henk Van Bergen, Kathy Connelly, Pam Goodrich, Gary Rockwell, Karl Mikolka, Michelle Gibson, Dr Cesar Parra, Dotti Morkis & more... Certification & Work Experience -
Helen started her training in England by completing the British Horse Society requirements for certification. Helen gained work experience through various barns in England, West Indies & the USA, from Trail Riding - Side Saddle - Show Hunters - Hunting - Cross Country - Showing Youngsters in Hand & Dressage. -
Whilst living on the island of Antigua in the West Indies, Helen with help - formed the Antiguan Horse Society, based out of Spring Hill Riding Club, which she co owned - the stable is still in existence today. -
In the mid 90's Helen came to New England to train & compete & started her career at Apple Valley Farm with International Trainer & Judge - Kathy Connelly. Whilst at Kathy's barn, Helen purchased Nautical & through consistent training, brought him to GP - he has since been sold & remains local to NE. Today - Now established as an FEI Competitor & trainer, Helen's current & newest mount - Fig Newton

Fig Newton has successfully competed from 4th Level to GP with consistent scores in the mid to upper 60's to 70%. Helen works with horses/people on many levels of training from breaking youngsters & working with clients, from beginners to advanced in many disciplines. -
Although Helen's passion is Dressage, because of her jumping & eventing background, she is able to help with the correct flat work needed & often missing in the hunter world at lower levels. She is patient & willing to help with problems with horse or client with the training, taking time to get the combination fit & trained for the job at hand. Helen's students have found her to be direct but supportive, helping them achieve their goals by teaching them the complete art of horsemanship from the ground up. Rates -
