Here is the link to http://www.qualitycheck.org/consumer/searchQCR.aspx for Joint Commission Accredited Healthcare Organizations. You can search for the type of agency that you need care from like home health aid or home health nurse etc. and they will give you a list of the agecies that are approved and accredited. Find a health care organization that meets the Joint Commission's patient safety and quality standards. How would you like to search? - put in your zip code and City to search for local providers.

There is a great deal of information available about health care agencies etc, I have attached a document listing what type of information you can obtain from Joint Commission. Here is just a few of the items. open the attachment for more. Data Release to Government Agencies and Organizations with Which the Joint Commission Performs Coordinated Survey Activities. The Joint Commission makes available to federal, state, local, or other government certification or licensing agencies and organizations with which the Joint Commission performs survey activities specific accreditation-related information under the following circumstances: When the Joint Commission identifies a serious situation in an organization that may jeopardize the health or safety of patients or the public and immediately takes action to deny accreditation. Upon request, when the request involves otherwise publicly available information.<o:p></o:p> Public Information Policy*The Joint Commission is committed to making relevant and accurate information about  health care organizations available to interested parties. Information regarding a health care organization’s quality and safety of care helps organizations improve their services. This information may also help educate consumers and health care purchasers in making informed choices about health care. At the same time, it is important that confidentiality be maintained for certain information to encourage candor in the accreditation process. The Joint Commission’s primary vehicles for providing this information publicly are Quality Check® and Quality Reports.
Wayne: PART TWO OF 3: Search google under department of professional regulations and licensing and it will give a listing by state. Here are a few that pretain to our little gang -Wayne- this ONE  is for YOU!Hawaii:http://www.hawaii.gov/dcca/areas/pvl/
The Regulated Industries Complaints Office (RICO) is committed to assisting the public through education and enforcement of the state's licensing laws for certain professions. You can check to see if your area of complaint is covered by RICO by reviewing the boards and programs licensed by DCCA's Professional and Vocational Licensing Division (PVL). RICO also administers the State Certified Arbitration Program (SCAP) for “lemon” vehicles.
Need to know if your contractor or other professional is licensed? Need information on a business's or individual's prior complaints? Do you want to know who the officers are for a corporation? Do you need to file a complaint? Do you think your car is a lemon? Need assistance with a landlord-tenant issue?

On Oahu call the Consumer Resource Center at 587-3222 or 587-3295 between 7:45 am and 4:30 pm Mon-Fri excluding holidays. Neighbor island residents see RICO's contact information or call the following numbers followed by 7-3222 and the # sign:

Kauai   274-3141
Maui   984-2400
Hawaii   974-4000
Lanai & Molokai   1-800-468-4644 (toll free)
WAYNE  I HAVE EVEN ATTACHED THE HEALTH CARE PROVIDER COMPLAINT FORM FOR YOU!!! FOR HAWAII! I THINK THAT YOU CAN FILE AGAINST YOUR INSURANCE AND YOUR DOCTORS IF THEY ARE NOT GETTING YOU PROPER CARE. PERSONALLY, I THINK IT IS IN VIOLATION OF THE LAWS FOR YOUR FORMER PAIN DOC TO RETIRE WITHOUT GIVING YOU NOTICE, REFERALLS FOR SEVERAL OTHER PROVIDERS THAT COULD TAKE OVER FOR HIM AND AT LEAST 3 MONTHS OF SCRIPTS TILL YOU COULD FIND ONE.

Texas department of professional licensing to file a complaint go to Texas Department of Health: Professional Licensing and Certification ...Links to boards and committees licensing health-related professions. www.dshs.state.tx.us/plc The DSHS Professional Licensing and Certification Unit consists of twenty-three separate regulatory programs.
