THE GHOST WHO WALKS
THE PHANTOM MOVIES

As one of the earliest superhero, in a second major live-action movie of the Phantom that would be made most respectfully and remain faithful to the original 1936 newspaper strips created by Lee Falk, although based around modern age characters, it would be interesting to go back a bit in time and see centuries earlier how the legend of the ghost who walks all started, with the events that lead to the coming of the original Phantom, and how the legend continued from one generation to the next. During the great sea explorer days, from a time long ago, as the young Kit Walker and his father sailing the oceans, pirates would attack their ship near the shores of Bengal; and in the end, in wild raging storm, the ship would go up in flames and sink, leaving as only survivor the young Kit barely alive and managing to swim to shore, only to be found unconscious by local natives that would rescue him and nurse him back to health, only to discover later washed up on the shores his father dead. Kit Walker would eventually decide to become a guardian of justice and swear on the skull of his father’s murder, to devote his life on the destruction of piracy, greed, and cruelty, and to also pass on the legacy to his descendants, where in time, one of every generations would continue to live by that same oath in an unbroken line of Phantoms. And in some continuation from the first film, as an other generation is ready to pass on the torch to the next, this whole story could very well be the same one told again from father to son in the modern times, as one other is about to become the next Phantom and continue the myth that somewhere in the Deep Woods, within the jungles of Bangalla, moves silently the eternal soul of the ghost who walks, always on the watch of the forces of evil

As Kit Walker, the hero of his generation is about to die after his last battle, sacrificing his life to save the one of his descendence, he passes on the torch to his son of the same name, so he may continue his work and the one of many before him; and at the moment of his death, crossing into the afterlife, he can see all around him in costumes his ancestors that before him also proudly wore the name of the Phantom



Étant l'un des premiers super héros, dans un deuxième film majeur d'action du Fantôme qui serait fait dans le plus grand respect et fidélité envers la bande dessinée original des journaux de 1936 créé par Lee Falk, malgré que ça serait basé autour de personnages de l'age moderne, il serait intéressant de reculer un peu dans le temps pour y voir quelques siècles auparavant comment a commencé la légende du revenant qui marche, ainsi que les évènements qui ont mené à la venue du Fantôme original, et comment la légende a continué d'une génération à l'autre. Durant cette grande période d'explorateurs navals, il y a de cela très longtemps, alors que le jeune Kit Walker et son père traversaient les océans sur un grand voilier, des pirates attaquèrent leur vaisseau près des côtes de Bengal; et à la fin, dans une tempête violente, le navire prit feu et coula, laissant comme seule survivant le jeune Kit à peine encore vivant et trouvant le juste la force pour rejoindre la côte à la nage, pour y être retrouvé inconscient et secouru par des indigènes locaux qui le soignèrent et ramenèrent à la santé, seulement pour y découvrir plus tard poussé par les vagues sur la côte son père mort. Éventuellement, Kit Walker déciderait de devenir un gardien de la justice, et jurera sur le crâne de son père assassiné, de dévouer sa vie pour mettre fin à la piraterie, la cupidité, et la cruauté, ainsi que de passer l'héritage à ses descendants, où un de chaque générations continuera de vivre par cette même promesse, formant ainsi avec le temps une ligne ininterrompue de Fantômes. Et dans une certaine continuité du premier film, alors qu'une autre génération est prête à passer le flambeau à la prochaine, toute cette histoire pourrait bien être celle encore une fois racontée de père en fils dans les temps modernes, alors qu'un autre est sur le point de devenir le nouveau Fantôme et continuer le mythe que quelque part dans la forêt profonde, à travers la jungle de Bangalla, avance en silence l'âme immortelle du revenant qui marche, toujours à l'aguet des forces du mal

- SCÈNE DU FILM -

Alors que Kit Walker, le héros de sa génération est sur le point de mourir après son dernier combat, sacrifiant sa vie pour sauver celle de sa descendance, il transmet le flambeau à son fils du même nom, affin qu'il poursuive son oeuvre et celle de bien d'autres avant lui; et au moment de sa mort, traversant dans l'hautdelà, il apperçoit autour de lui tous ses ancêtres costumés qui avant lui ont aussi fièrement portés le nom du Fantôme
