Dear Members,

You will be aware that over the past few years that we have funded tennis coaching classes in the Haddenham Schools through various fund raising events and club funds.

The Committee is keen to continue this activity where funds allow as it is our belief that the children of the village benefit from this work and that it helps to introduce tennis as game to a number of children who would not otherwise have the opportunity.

This year we are pleased to report that we have been successful in obtaining funding from a number of sources.

We have been successful in obtaining some annual funding from the Parish Council, a provision from the Bucks LTA and a generous donation from the Haddenham Real Ale Festival who also hope to be in a position to provide a donation next year as well.

The club would like to say how grateful we are for these donations which will allow us to continue the provision of tennis coaching in the Haddenham Schools.

We are now in the fortunate position to be able to provide all the Haddenham Schools tennis coaching for the summer term and shall be extending the provision for other terms where funding allows.

The Schools have all said how much they appreciate the coaching and how much the children benefit from this activity.

As a result of the huge success of the Real Ale Festival, future money has been promised for tennis in the Haddenham Schools and plans are being made with the Schools.
