LIVERPOOL....
Friday 6th December 2002!
What a fantastic day and most surely the best day of my life!!!
We (Me and my dad) got to Mountford Hall at about 6:30 and had to queue up for an hour in the freezing cold!
Anyway when we got in the hall we went right to the front and ended up on the 2nd row..... next to Mary and Jetty..LOL. Now that was a coincidence! Tone came on at 9:00 lookin' as good as ever! In his famous leather pants!!!!!
(don't tell my dad I said that....lol) He sang hit after hit, 'Spandau', his own and ones I had never heard him sing before but he was excellent as was the band. My favourite song of the evening definitely was 'After All This Time'! I love the way Tony belts the lyrics out to it!! The concert was over way too soon but still we had a great evening and little did I know it was about to get a million times better! Mary and Jetty had sent a note to Tone asking him to come down and meet me but it wasn't possible! So not giving up too easily we went outside the backdoor waiting for him to come out. We must have been stood there for about an hour but it was all worth it in the end as Tone came out he was cheered on by at least twenty cold but excited fans! He warmed everyone up when he signed autographs and had photos taken with everyone. I couldn't believe it when he came over to me! I was shaking, I didn't know what to say! In fact I don't think I did say anything, I was concentrating on staying conscious!
When he signed my autograph he made me hold his drink and i nearly dropped it! It was so exciting and brilliant to finally meet him! I would like to thank Mary and Jetty because if it weren't for you I wouldn't have had half as good the time as I actually did! + I wouldn't have got the chance to meet !THE! Tony Hadley.
