Januarys meeting went well the usual faces were there plus mick who brought a 6 piece plastic didj bought in India
various things were brought up for discussion namely Andy from Branston would like the night moving to poss Tue evening , Wayne had an Idea to do some gigs free for publicity at a forthcoming event, to which all were in agreement. Any monies gained from the gigs should however be used for club funds which are non existent at the moment.Deniese thought of some more publicity and advertising ideas. and a few of the members even had a play.
FEB MEETING Fri 24th usual time usual place
This month "Didgeridoo Pete" from the Northampton Didgeridoo Club will be visiting our club to meet some of the members and attend some workshops with Steve over the weekend.
Hopefully we will have a good turnout and an enjoyable evening.
We will have the usual playing, jamming and social activities.
Hope to see as many members there as possible to make Pete feel welcome. Perhaps Pete could offer some tips to boost member numbers!
A good turnout this month, with a bit of talent thrown in too......can't be bad.
We welcomed Pete from Northampton Didj Club this month. Pete came for a couple of days and attended our club meet. He had some interesting ideas to improve things at the club which we took on board and all had an enjoyable evening. We also welcomed two new guests who had travelled from afar (Northumberland and Doncaster). We are almost international now.....!
It was also good to see Angie, Carlie and friends who had great success at their first attempts at didjeridu (Carlies attempts at the "wobble" were unnerving!)
A good night in all and we hope to see you all again next month.
April Club Meeting
A quiet night by our recent standards was enjoyed by only a handful of the regulars. Certainly, some of the topics of conversation were very amusing and mostly not didge related, but funny all the same.
We agreed to meet again at the end of May and hope some more new faces will appear.
I agreed to contact the local papers again to get a mention in the "whats on" and "events" section of the Hull Daily Mail to see if that makes any difference.
In the meantime, we look forward to seeing existing and new members at the meeting on Friday 26th May.
