Welcome to ISL Connections, a meeting place created to reunite all ex-students and teachers who ever attended or worked at the International School of Lusaka.
Situated within the warm and friendly environment of Zambia, ISL was established in 1963. Since that time, the school has continued to provide good quality education to a wide range of students of different nationality, race, religion and culture. The multi-cultural community spirit that has always been such a feature of ISL, is well remembered by all who were touched at some time or another by this special place. The easygoing and welcoming atmosphere fostered a tolerance and awareness for each other, and left us with a mutual respect and understanding of the differences between ourselves and our varied cultural backgrounds. Many strong and close friendships evolved as a result.
Since leaving ISL, life has taken us in many different directions and we have become spread over many parts of the world. Memories, familiar faces, and the experiences we all shared have faded into the past. This website is all about allowing us to retrace the journey we have taken, celebrate our differences and similarities, rekindle our friendships and forge new ones. The warm welcome that those of us from abroad received from Zambia and it's people should not be forgotten either, so this site is also dedicated to promoting a positive image of the country that we all know and love as our second home!
Welcome back to the world of ISL, and enjoy a nostalgic trip down memory lane!
