Dear Imperial Monarchists and fellow guests, Since the age of fifteen I have been fascinated with Russia primarily because of it's rich history. Since the doors have literally been thrown open as a result of "Perestrioka" and "Glasnost" now more than ever during the past decade has that freedom been so evident. For the first time in Russian history, history itself can no longer be repressed and finally many others like myself from around the world can also share in that rich and colourful heritage. The days of the cold war and anti-communist sentiment that was so evident in this county and around the world in western allied countries is no more. Although I am not communist nor have I ever been, Russia is a country that continues to intrigue and fascinate me.From the politics of Bolshevik revolution and fervor to the mongols of the sixteenth century, I continue to yearn to learn all I can about "Mother Russia" and all the people who have participated in this former super power. However my primary interest and driving force behind this particular web page will be solely reflected on the Czars and the last of these rulers Czar Nicholai Alexandrovich. (Nicholas II) As this site matures I anxiously wish to share all I have learned about Nicholas II and his German born wife, the Empress Alexandra Feoderovna, and their five beautiful children; heir apparent Alexei, the four Grand Duchesses; Olga, Tatiana, Marie and Anastasia. Together we will visit the splendor of the Winter Palace in all her glory and visit the various homes that belonged to Nicholas including the Alexander Palace and such vacation hideaways as the Peterhof Palace in the Crimea. We will sail the Finnish Fiords aboard the royal yacht Standart as the family vacationed in the Crimea. Truly the lives of the Czars were splendid and it is my hope that I will help to share this valuable history with you so that we can learn and enjoy history past and present, for without history we could not be.... Alexander Young Personal Note Although I have much knowledge concerning the Czars, I still nevertheless would be interested in hearing from you for it is together that we learn and grow. If you have anything by way of information that you feel would be of particular interest please feel free to e-mail me as I would like to hear from as many people as possible. It is you and me who make this world interesting. |
