Hello, I do hope someone can help me with this, My farthers maternal family originate in the east of Ireland, and have a long tradition of equestrianism. I have grown up listening to a secrative rumore that one of my irish ancestors traveled to russia to sell horses to the Tzar. However the story continues that he came home with a nobleborn Russian wife. Sadley the older members of the family who would have known more about this have sadly died. I don't know how long ago this might of been, or if it is nothing more than a tale, but I would like to look into it as it always seemed a story that the family "Did not talk about!" As I said if anyone can help me I would be most interested.

Please forgive me I am new to doing this.. but I have some questions and am very intriqued on how much you know about the Romanov family. I havefound out recently that I may have ties to the family through history... my question would be is how to find out or find records to help me research this. The hard part is that I live in the U.S.A. but I do have full access to the internet. Any suggestions would be very helpful. I also just wanted to note that this site is done very well.. and the information and the pictures were wonderful to look at... thank you!
