The Authorized King James Bible 1611 The Tool For Life!  WHAT IS FAITH TO YOU? Faith, it is many different things to many different people BUT it is only one thing according to the Bible. In ( Hebrews 11:1 - i t says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb. 11:6- But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.) First, to please God we MUST please him. IF WE have sin in our lives we are not pleasing him. I speak to Born Again, washed in the blood saints of God. We sin daily and we must keep short accounts with God in that we must ask him to show us when we sin so we may go right then and confess it, if not we will forget and grow stale, hard and dull of spiritual hearing. Second, when go to God, we must BELIEVE that he is. He is what? All the things he says he is in his Word. Take him at his Word. Don't waiver in your beliefs. As a child have child like faith. If you watch little children they believe everything you tell them because they have innocence about them. Oh! That we would have that for God in belief. Adults loose the innocence of believing. We get corrupted by the world because of age, and the things of life that creep in. Jesus says in his Word, (Matthew 18:3,4 - Verily I say unto you, EXCEPT Ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.) Thirdly, that he rewards us if we are diligently seeking him. We do not know how he rewards us but he does. Do you diligently seek him? Is it when the crisis that is equivelant to an 8.0 Hurricane on the Richter scale of life that you do and cry out, Ohhhh God I neeeed Youuu!? Or do you seek him in the morning, during the day, on your way into town in the car, at night, do you pray at meal time? Do you pray at night? Or is it basically rub a dub dub thank ya for the grub type of seeking. IF you just seek him when its convenient, then he is not in all your thoughts. Someone that we are truly in love with we think about constantly. Remember your first love? Who did you think about all the time? God wants us to think about him like that too. He wants us to seek him with our whole heart, mind body and strength. If some of you are homebound and have health issues and cant go to church often God knows. I ts a heart thing, not a physical thing. Do your best, God will do the rest.  1Cor. 2:16- For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? BUT WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. IF we are not seeking him to have answer to prayer and communicating with him how are we to know the mind of Christ? It's like a marriage. If you never communicate you will never know your partner. Quite time alone with God one on one is intimate devotion and fellowship. He speaks through his Word to our Spirit and through prayer. In James 2: 17-20 speaks of faith and works. Works without faith is just plain labor. Labor without spirituality. Faith without works is dead because it does not have a higher goal and purpose in mind. One must go beyond their intellect and reasoning and go outside of their self and focus on what they can not see for it to be faith. If we see what we do then its not faith.  For example. I worked at this place that had three boys as a House Keeper. One had lost his money prior to my working their. I was cleaning his room as he told me the story. He had lost/misplaced $30 and it upset him that he could not find it. Before I started working their about a few days maybe he never knew of God. I talked of him regulary to the all the boys. I told him that God knew where his money was. I told him to come here as we sat on his bed. I told him I am going to pray and within 15 min after I pray you will find your money. Because I want to show YOU how REAL God is. ok? He said ok. He probably thought I was crackers! So, my prayer went like this, "Dear Heavenly father I thank you that you hear me and that you know where Cory's money is. I thank you for all the answered prayer and blessings that you have given to me. Now, I pray father that you will honor this prayer by granting this request and within 15 min. let Cory find his money. I already KNOW you are real. FOR HIS sake Father be real to him this day I pray In Jesus' name, amen". Don't you think I was a little apprehensive? YOU BET! I was thinking, Dear Lord, I stepped out on the limb and cut it off behind me to show how real you are now you must do the rest. You must show your power!! THAT IS FAITH my friend! Within 5 minutes Cory found his money!! I was not shocked but my eyebrows raised because it was answered so quickly. I thought maybe 14 minutes later. :-) Cory was beside himself. He said GOD FOUND MY MONEY!! I said, "See how real God is?" You will never as long as you live forget what happened here today. Are you hungry today for a deeper more meaningful life with God?
