Donald Trump, Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, just to name three. What is the one thing that comes to mind? Fame, money and riches, and what this world perceives as power. But... they truly may not know what true riches really are.
Wisdom, Understanding, Righteousness, Peace and Joy just to name a few, are what the Lord bestows upon them that deny their self and pick up their cross daily and follow him BUT who are his child...
Jesus has gone away to prepare a place for you and me that where he is we may go one day. YES, you and me. IF WE are Born Again, washed in the Blood true Believers in Christ.
Ya know...I have heard of Brad Pitt I am sure you have too. Does that mean I know him personally just because I have heard his name and watched a couple of his movies? NO, absolutely not! Angelina and Jennifer Aniston and his family know him personally too, but I do not. The same is with God. Countless people profess they know of Jesus Christ but they DO NOT HAVE A PERSONAL relationship with him. HE IS NOT A NAME, BUT A PERSON! HE IS NOT A FIGURE, MAGICAL FIGMENT OF TIME...BUT A REAL PERSON WHO died for your sins and mine. He took upon his body your sin debt and mine and bore every sinful thought, and action that we have ever committed and ever will commit. Yes committ because we are future tense from the day of Calvary you see. So every sin we committ future he bore on calvary. Oh how he loves you and me. Scripture says in Isaiah that they beat him beyond recognition. To the point they could not tell that he was a man. He was not just whipped a few times with a whip...but beat almost to death. But that was not enough nor the worst of it. They took him and made him carry his own cross beam, the one where you and I should have carried... And made him carry it up a hill to Golgotha.... And nailed his tore, wripped and battered body to the cross for YOU AND ME. WHY? CERTAINLY NOT BECAUSE HE HAD TO. BUT because he wanted to. TEN thousand angels were gathered around waiting for him to say the Word that day. The Words, "STOP, enough. I don't want to do this". But, he didnt. He stayed for you and me. Because he loved us sooo much, he bled and died to pay for our sins on that sin cross.
Is he preparing a mansion for you too? Will you be in that number some day when our Saviour comes back? Its not important that you know him. What is important is does He know YOU?!
