Tomorrow's show is for our pets with lameness.  For weeks, I've been collecting people'sexperiences and suggestions for arthritis remedies.  If you or a friend have a dog with arthritis, this is a good show to listen to.  I'll be discussing traditional medications, supplements and physical therapies.  All, some, or none?  That's the question only you can answer after listening to all the options I'll present to you.

Bob Ferber of the Los Angeles City  Attorney's office is heading up the new task force to handle the blood sport of dog-fighting in Los Angeles.   Dog fighting is a huge problem in the United States, flaunting cruelty and abuse in the name of "sport."  While illegal, it goes on everyday, in every state.

We'll be talking with Bob and learning about what the task force does, what are their goals, how they plan to accomplish them, and what can we, the general public, do to help these poor animals and the policing force who are trying to protect them?

Next week, Patti Strand from the National Animal Interests Alliance will be joining me to discuss animal rights extremism.  Fascinating topic with facts you never know. . . I promise!

I am angry.  Every time there's a dog attack, people like us (responsible pet owners) have to pay with our money and time, leading to more aggravation.  More legislation, higher homeowners insurance, more public scrutiny.  More dogs into private rescues, into shelters, dumped onto the streets.  More time spent on phone calls and letters trying to educate and protect ourselves and our dogs.

That's what I'll be talking about this Saturday.  Also, I've had several request to finish my discussion on barking.  Why do dogs nuisance bark?  What can be done?  There are several answers for several types of dogs.  I can give you some insights and some solutions.

Now, I'm sure you're asking "Why did Jill send her notice out early?"  Because I am insane with dog shows!  Friday is Golden State Rottweiler Club's annual Specialty, and I have to be at the show grounds the day before and the day after.  Plus dog shows on Saturday and Sunday too!  So everything has be done in advance.

This week is a pre-recorded show with cancer specialist Dr. Alice Villalobos.  We discuss signs of cancer in our pets, caring for our pets towards the end of life, different foundations for pets and their people, and ways to care for ourselves when our pets do pass.

So, sad for you!  No trivia question, no call ins, no harassing of the Jilly.  Boo-hoo!!!

I have no guest this week so I thought it might be a good time to catch up on some of the legislation that's going on here in the US and in Canada.  I'm hoping to twist the arm of Steve Barker, of the Dog Legislation Council in Canada, to call in and bring us all up to date with what's going on in Ontario.

I also want to openly discuss Bill AB 418, the anti-cropping ear bill, that is up for grabs here in California.  And what exactly is "The Groomer's Bill?"  Is it a good idea, or just more legal interference?   I hope you'll call in and add your two cents!  I love my callers.

First, I want to discuss the West Hollywood proposal, and Assembly member Paul Koretz's proposals on a state level.  I also want to talk about the complete ban on all bull terriers and their kin-folk in Ontario, Canada, and what that means literally, realistically and tangentially.  I will also also briefly go over BSL that's going on right now across the country, and yes, I mean OUR country.

Can you believe it?  This Saturday is the One Year Anniversary of my show!!  My first guest of my first show was Agility Expert Cara Callaway; and Cara will be back this Saturday to join me for the marking of a whole year of talking dogs.
