Nick Name: Phi Phi, Fi Fi
Born February 8, 1977 in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Phoenix was taught how to play guitar by his mom (who is also his greatest inspiration). He also plays the violin and cello (which you can hear him playing on Reanimation & Meteora). He eventually moved to CA, where he joined a band in high school named the Tasty Snax.
While in the band, Phoenix went from playing guitar to bass guitar. Like Rob and Brad, Phoenix also graduated from UCLA. Phoenix played with Xero (LP's old band) and then toured with The Snax for 1 1/2 years and later came back to play with LP. (You'll notice he's not in the "One Step Closer" video.)
Some of Phoenix's favorite bands include Weezer, The Beatles, The Roots, Bob Marley, and Sarah McLachlan.
