Why Did I Start Making These Crappie Jigs?

I'm mostly fished for catfish For the 20 years that I have fished. About 2 or 3 years ago I started Crappie fishing. After a year of catching a few crappie and spending 300 dollars on jigs and stuff. I decide to start tying my on jigs I started with Buying painted jigs and using marabou I had better luck. Then I found a material called flashbou. So I started using it. I tried several different kinds but found that silver,rainbow,pearl and glow in the dark worked best for me. Then I found a material called chenille. So I started using it.  Since I've been tying jigs with these materials I've caught more crappie and found a new hobby to..

How Do I Fish My Jigs?

I usually fish the crappie jigs I make without a minnow. I've used them under a slip cork. For pre and spawn crappies Sometime if the fish isn't biting then I'll put on a Berkley's power crappie nugget in a chartruse color
