For The Month

Kitty’s Pick of the Month:

“Love My Way”
by Bridget Midway
Genre: BDSM (BW/WM)

This is was GREAT story. Never mind the theme, it’s not that bad. (I will be reviewing this book later)

This is story Telling at it’s best. The characters jump of the page including all the secondary and extra characters.

Please, please please, don’t be scare of the BDSM, you’ll be missing a great read.

Blurb: BDSM Dominant, Eagan Morton, is in search of a new submissive via a reality TV show.  Bent on revenge, Ananda Zelder participates.  Will love dominate or will they submit to outside Pressures

“Gray’s Anatomy”
by Bridget Midway

Contempory (BW/WM)

Another Great read from our favorite ebook author.

For those of you that read “Kissing Casanova” this is the book you’ve been waiting for. Honey the cover alone is a big draw!

Again Bridget is a great storyteller. Gray’s character grabs you in the first chapter – right after he drops his pants (teaser)!!

Blurb: Tommie Balford, a young biracial woman, finds herself trying to keep her professional wrestling company afloat and her mind off of the doctor she just hired, unaware that Dr. Gray Kennebeck’s secret past may hurt her company. The attraction is powerful, and mutual, however, and no matter how hard they wrestle with the conflict of interest, they find their defenses crumbling, find themselves yielding to the passion that flares between them. But will Gray’s secret tear them apart?

“Passion, Betrayal and Killer Highlights”
by Kyra Davis
Mystery/Romance (Mixed BW/WM)

For those of you that read, “Sex Murder and a Double Latte” This is a continuation of the wacky world of Sophia Katz and her Yummy P.I., the Russian Anatoly.

Blurb: But when her brother-in-law turns up dead and her sister becomes the prime suspect, Sophie's priority is finding the real killer. With or without Anatoly's help. Her brother-in-law's secret life yields plenty of suspects, but the San Francisco police aren't taking any of them seriously. So Sophie does what comes naturally to her: she stirs up trouble (to lure the killer out, of course).

But if her crazy plan works, will Anatoly be there to protect her this time?

Viola’s Pick of the Month:

 "The Object of Love"
by Sharon Cullars
(Paranormal Romance: bw/wm - May/December)

Romance with a slight edge of "creep," I swear I'm amazed that she was able to jam such a well developed, engrossing story into such a reasonably sized book. A page-turner of the first order I defy anyone to put this book down for more than 30 seconds to do anything other than answer the call of nature.

 "Two Sides To Every Story"
by Dyanne Davis
(Contemporary Romance: bw/hm)

The engaging tale of what happens when Rafe Remeris, a tall, gorgeous and green-eyed Latin police officer meets Angela Reed, a free-lance writer with a hate for police officers so deep she can barely see (nevermind, think) straight at the first sign of a flashing light and siren. While I loved this book and Angela's devotion to her brother, I swear I occasionally wanted to slap Angela because of her blind hatred of police officers. But, like Rafe's Godmother told him, when she loves, she loves with her whole being and thereby instantly gains the forgiveness of the reader that might have been sneering at her. "Two Sides" is  a book I could not put it down and had to tell myself that I could not re-read it when I finished and couldn't find anything else worth reading among the new books on my shelf.

"Let's Get It On"
by Dyanne Davis
(Contemporary: bw/am)

"Let's Get It On" had my complete and utter attention with the very first sentence: "That's going to kill you." By the time the hero sat down to share a meal with the unwilling heroine, I was in love with him my doggoned self. Aside from the basic premise of each and every romance, boy meets girl and falls in love amid a few bumps in the road, Mrs. Davis explores, however briefly, how racism has effected people of Arabic/East Indian decent in the years since 9/11. I loved Hamid's passion during the airport scene. I could feel his anger and sadly, his shame. I admired Heaven's ability to stay strong, but when the time came, do what was best for her heart's sake.
