Johnny Depp/ Jack Sparrow
***HOW IT STARTED***
Well, I've been a fan (Not a huge mad one) of Johnny Depp (mainly for his looks) for a while and I also thought Orlando Bloom was quite a good looking, rising star and when I heard they were both going to be in one film there was no chance I would miss it! So... me and my sister, hop skipped and jumped to our local 11-screen cinema, about a 5 minute walk away. We went in to thte cinema + watched Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Within the first 10 mins of watching this film, we knew straight away that we had to buy it when it comes out. The entrance from Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) was hilarious and his whole character was awesome the whole way threw the movie.
The next day when I went in to my Training Centre place I spent hours on the net looking for pictures of Jack Sparrow and printed them all off. 1 biiig massive wall in my bedroom was covered in Jack Sparrow + other POTC bits n Bobs. A few days later we had to go back again to see the film coz after seeing Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, it was like an addiction to go see him again and again and again.
Over on the Isle of Wight, the film stayed in the cinema from Spetember till late October (2 months). The cinema showed the film in 2 seperate screens for a whole month and continued viewing it on the one screen for f urther month, so I gavered it would be a popular film all aver the world.
So... I turned from a mini-Johnny Depp fan into a wild crazy Johnny Depp/Jack Sparrow fan!
***WHY I MADE THIS GROUP***
I was searching MSN Group List to see what groups I could join taht featured Johnny Depp/ Jack SParrow, and I oculdn't really find many really good ones on Jack Sparrow... most of them where on Orlando Bloom and all his charcter from LOTR and POTC.
At my Training Centre I had just recently been taught how to create a web site from scratch so I thought I would try and make a small web-site of my own based on my obbsession for Jack Sparrow. I created the site in September, starting off with a about 50 pictures of Johnny Depp + 100 of Jack Sparrow. Few members joined at 1st but then I learnt how to use MSN properly, creating new pages and albums ect... and the group went on and on and just grew and grew. Members have been joining almost everyday and although other groups have about 500+ members, I still think that the 150+ members here are still alot! Messages are posted every day. And with all the imput I put into the group, making it better people joined. Every time someone joins, it encurages me to add more to the group to give them something new to look at. I hope they do like and enjoy this site, just as much as I have making it! I have also recently upgraded a members, persition in the group to an Assistant Manager and she has a lot of ideas on what to add to the group which should be happening/joining the group as you read this. The more this site grows, the more people I will be able to trust as an A.M and hopefully this group will go wild and almost out of control.
I know it is 'just a site', but I love working on Computers, and spend a lot of time on them. It has been an achievement for me, to make this group and for it to be so popular - especially on Google searches.
Aswell as all my work that has gone into This site, it would not be as popular as it is now with out all of you joining so thanX not only tom myself but to every member and manager in this group! ThanQ!
