Sunday, October 12, 1-5 p.m.
Learn how to create free-standing and relief sculptural forms utilizing cement. Students will learn to use armatures, hardware cloth, thinset, and fiber cement clay. Your finished form can be mosaiced or finished in a variety of non-mosaic ways after the class has finished. All necessary materials and tools will be supplied.
Due to the amount of materials required, registration for this class will close on October 8.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Nov. 20-22, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Learn the preparation for large mosaic projects; murals, back splashes, fireplace surrounds, tables, etc. Explore material and process selection, project planning, how to estimate material amounts and design aspects specific to mosaics. Create designs for your own project of a mural to be done at Bemis during the Winter/Spring 2009 semester. Previous mosaic experience is required.
