Saturday 8th February 2003 - Pluckley Village

Team:  Debs, Nicki, Km3, Dave E and Mikey

Outline

The team met at the Chequers Inn for dinner and high spirited chat!

Investigation started 10pm at St Nicholas Church, Pluckley, took walk around village.  Church created the most interest for the team, so we decided to conduct the main part of our investigation here.  Later we decided to take a trip out to Pinnock Stream, on the outskirts of the village.  We ended our evening back at the Church, and it was at this time we experienced our most significant events...

The Investigation

17.30    Base readings taken at varied locations in Church grounds, such as main entrance door and porch, side door and crypt door. EMF detector showed no apparant fluctuations.

17.50    Nicki's torch failed 3 times in graveyard (New torch and batteries) No explanation.

19.00    Met rest of team in the Chequers Inn for meal

22.00    St Nicholas Church : Walk around graveyard, readings taken at same locations as base. No change.

22.15    Light seen by Dave/Nicki inside fenced off grave. No viable source for reflection of torch and no street lamps / artificial light in close proximity.

22.25    Entrance Porch to Church : Dave felt touch/tickle to head lasting a few seconds. Picture taken of entrance by Mikey.

22.30 - 23.00   Walk around village, found old mill site, schoolhouse and Black Horse pub. No unusual activity reported.

23.00 - 23.30 Pinnock Stream Bridge : Checked bridge location, photos taken of site by Debs and Mikey. Debs saw movement in bushes, pointed camera in direction of movement. (Pitch black through viewfinder, point and shoot) See gallery for pic.

23.45    On journey back from stream : Flash of light seen by team from behind Black Horse Pub / Church area. No explanation found.

23.50    Entrance Porch : Debs and Nicki felt icy cold. Rest of team felt OK.

00.35    Entrance Porch : Whole team felt icy chill. Thud heard on entrance door from inside the church. Night vision cam captured event shows no involvement from team itself. One torch on only. EMF reading taken around entrance door, fluctuations of EMF meter around keyhole area for a few seconds, then after several more tries, no further readings recorded. Dave heard a second soft thud at foot of door, all felt cold breeze, porch went icy cold. Debs and Nicki had second chill feeling, no significant breeze outside, temperature outside was found to be mild. Sat in porch with no torch light, just night vision cam, to concentrate our energy.

00.55    Team decided that tiredness will soon start to cloud our judgement as all felt a sudden draining of energy. Investigation ended at 01.00.
