How To Post

Unless making a quick reply, writeoff-line; it offers an excellent backup should your posting fail.  Do not use a word-processing document, as miscellaneous codes appear when you post the message.  Use "Notepad" to create your message offline.

Go straight to All Topics Message Board, or go to the Nav (Navigation) Bar (left-hand side of Website) and select another Topic.

If post is a new subject -- then click on ‘New Discussion’ - top of main board.

If your post is a reply -- go directly to the post that you want to answer and top left of it, click-on ‘Reply’ --

When ‘Edit’ screen is fully loaded -- notice all the different Icon tools you have in which to prepare your text.

Just move your mouse pointer over the icons, and you should be able to read what each one does. Left to right; a pair of scissors; is for ‘Cut’ text or Delete. Bear in mind that if you use Cut, it goes to your computer memory.

Next, you will see icons for ‘Copy’ then ‘Paste’. Then ‘Font Style’ and ‘Font Size’ and ‘Text Colour’ and ‘Background Colour’.

Look at all the icons to get an idea of what is available. If you make an error at anytime, you can ‘Cancel’ your post (see bottom of Edit screen, next to Send).

The difference between a ‘Reply’ post and a ‘New Discussion’, is that within the latter, you must put in a ‘Subject Title’.

If you only have a short message then just write, otherwise, you are ready to copy and paste from your writing document.

Select and Copy all the text you want to post from your writing document.

At Website ‘Edit Screen’ -- click-on with mouse pointer, where text is to go in, then -- click on ‘Paste’ icon at the top of Edit Screen -- your text should now be inserted.

Tip: (Ctrl+V is Paste and Ctrl+C is Copy)

Your text should remain ‘Highlighted’ -- if not, Highlight again, then click on icon, ‘Font Style’ -- choose Arial (recommended).

Then -- while still Highlighted..,

Click on, Font Size -- choose size 2 (recommended).

Finally..,

When done, click SEND at the bottom and wait for it to go through.

Tip: I Make a final Copy prior to pressing Send.

Note 1 -- You must be signed in before you can post.

Note 2 -- You can delete any post you have made; look to the top right of post click on ‘Delete’. You can only delete what you have posted.

Note 3 -- If you write straight to the Edit Screen, you will still have to put in Text Style and Size if you don't want to go with the MSN default.
