Kings Clipstone is well-placed for shopping as there are numerous stores and speciality shops within easy reach of this historic village in the heart of ancient Sherwood Forest.

Do It Yourself
B & Q:There are three branches near Kings Clipstone: the one at Old Mill Lane Industrial Estate, Mansfield Woodhouse (past Asda) is the smallest but closest, their branch at Baums Lane, Mansfield (near Sainsbury's) has a wider range but the warehouse at Sutton in Ashfield is biggest and best.
Peggs: This popular family-owned store at Old Mill Industrial Estate, Mansfield Woodhouse doesn't have a website but is notable for it's board and timber cutting service. Contact on 01623 643702.
Farm Shops
Mickie Bradley: Mickie's farm shop on the B6030 is the only retailer in Kings Clipstone. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday and offers a wide range of home-grown and other produce, bedding plants, etc.
(Savvy shopper says: "There's no website but Mickie's fresh-picked seasonal soft fruit and new-laid eggs are must-buys as her quality and prices are far better than any supermarket. But don't expect a fancy shop!)
Combs Farm: By the A614/A6097 junction at Haywood Oaks, 11 miles from Kings Clipstone are regular attenders at several farmers' markets, including Mansfield.
(Savvy shopper says: "Their home-reared, well-hung beef and deli selection are star offerings in this small shop.")
Thaymar Farm Shop: Ice creams from the dairy at Haughton Park Farm near Bothamsall.
Welbeck Farm Shop, 6 miles from Kings Clipstone, is a new addition to the local shopping scene and is notable for its high-class traditional butcher, baker, deli and cheesemonger. (Savvy shopper says: "There's no website yet but the quality and range of produce amply justifies casual visits to this stylish shop alongside the Harley Gallery and Welbeck Garden Centre.")
Petrol
The nearest petrol source to Kings Clipstone is the BP petrol station and Spar shop in Clipstone Rd, Forest Town.
Supermarkets
Asda: The nearest major to Kings Clipstone and the largest. It also offers the cheapest petrol but is often crowded.
The Co-Op local store in Clipstone is handy for newspapers - and is near the Post Office, several take-aways, hairdressers and other shops. It has the nearest cash dispenser to Kings Clipstone.
Morrisons have a large store on Sutton Road that is close to B & Q's DIY warehouse.
Sainsburys is on Nottingham road, close to B & Q, Curry's, Halfords and other similar outlets. They deliver to Kings Clipstone.
The nearest Tescos are in Ollerton, handy for Ollerton's wide range of shops and their huge store in Jubilee Way South, Mansfield; both about 5 miles from Kings Clipstone. They deliver.
The nearest Waitrose is in Newark and is notable for its butchery, deli and fish departments. But they don't deliver to Kings Clipstone.
