This site is dedicated to the men and women of the USAF. who have served, and continue to serve, in the air defense of Okinawa and around the world;

and in recognition of the service of USMC, 1st Marine Division, 7th Marines, 1st Battalion, Company "A" who secured the island of Kume Jima, June 30, 1945;

and to the men and women of all the American Armed Services who endured and prevailed in the terrible battle for Okinawa;

and to the warm and gracious people of the Ryukyu Archipelago;

and to EJ the Wonder-Dog.
