Notes: LSRC 2003 is a GP35 in every sence of the word. It still retains its turbo, although I am not sure for how much longer. Its been said, that the unit is supposed to go out west to Western Rail and be rebuilt into a GP38M like the others and will come back in full LSRC paint. Of all the EMD units, the 2003 is my favorite. Shes dressed in yellow and green and looks not unlike a spokes model for John Deere. Her former reporting marks were DJPX using the same road number. The LSRC offical roster lists the 2003 as 1750 horsepower. I believe this is incorrect. But, At any rate, she has been shipped out west and is currently being rebuilt and when she returns, she'll have been upgraded to 2000 HP and reclassed a GP38m. She'll also return in the LSRC paint. UPDATE : 2003 has returned to Saginaw ad the LSRC in the blue paint. She will be in yet another new paint scheme in which she will lack the CN style body stripes. 09/29/2007
