Notes: This is the last LSRC unit operating in the Detroit and Mackinac Turtle scheme. (Second to last was C420 #976, which was repainted during a rebuild in 2002) Number 974 is in active road service for the LSRC, and is occasionally seen leading its larger Century counterparts along the Lake State mainlines. However, with the recent purchase of new M420W, the old RS class units could likely be the first to be replaced in years to come if even more power is acquired. For now, look for the 974 and 975 around the Lake State system.
