The focus of this research is on the families of Western Maryland only, their ancestors and descendants. The collateral lines of Blocker/Blocher, Buchholtz, Humber(t)son, Koelker, McCormick, Pengelly, Warnick, Weinbrenner/Winebrenner, Wright, and others will find their way here as well with direct connection to the Crowe and Layman families. Although some descendants of these families did migrate into other areas, we will not be including them beyond the migrant. If you are a part of these pioneer families of Western Maryland, please join us and we can help each other in our genealogical research. When I started this site it was with the hope that others would find a tidbit here and there to help break down their own brick wall, and perhaps have a morsel to submit for others.
