The idea behind Ophiuchus is a simple one...to write a great story...and more importantly, to have fun while doing so. Ophiuchus is a Message board-based, Medieval-themed (1300-1485), Role-Play community.

Members of Ophiuchus are encouraged to write stories, respond to other's tales, add character pictures and get involved with the community. We here at Ophiuchus stress the importance of simply having fun. Writing and sharing stories should be just that. There is no tolerance for ego-maniacs or glory hounds here. This is simply a theme based sharing community.

Membership into Ophiuchus is simple. All you have to do is "Join Now". Upon being accepted you will be entered into a one month trial period*, where you will be given a month to learn the rules, get a feel for the way we write our stories, and to get a feel of the other members. At the end of the month, if you wish to remain with us, please do so and keep on playing. During your month trial, if Management finds that your play or your behavior is not "up to par", you will be contacted privately via email. If play/manner improved during the remainder of the month, all is well. If not, at the end of the month, you shall be removed from the community.

All members after the one month trial will be subject to normal community rules.

*Time may be extended as managers see fit. This is not a rigid "threat" type system. We understand that role-play is not a priority and sometimes it takes a bit to get a character going. Basically, no news is good news!

Senior Management has the right to revoke a membership with or without notice at any time if they feel it for the betterment, general welfare and safety of the community.
