How do I join the Luger Owners' Association Attempting to Join the Luger Owners' Association but are Denied Access? Lately, we have been denying on average, five to ten applications per day. Why you might ask? Most people that are attempting to join the Luger Owners' Association are trying to join with Hot Mail, Yahoo or other "Free Mail" accounts. It is difficult to know who hides behind Free Mail accounts. XXX rated companies and past members that proved to be incendiary hide behind hot mail, and yahoo and free mail accounts. Once they join, it is often too late to stop them from posting rude, crude, offensive and or incendiary content. Yes, it is true that many prefer to us a Hotmail or passport account to join. But in order to be approved, there is a place on the application for you to list your P.O.P. e mail account (The e mail account your internet service provider - ISP, gave you when you obtained internet access). Instead of placing your hotmail or free mail account there, erase that and replace it with your home p.o.p. e mail account (work e mail is acceptable). Make sure you also check mark the box that says, "Allow all members to see my e mail account". Unless you do this, your application is going to be denied by one of the managers of the Luger Owners' Association. Also, we insist that you send us an e mail via your P.O.P. e mail account (so that we have record of your ISP) explaining your interest in the Luger Owners' Association so that we know you are indeed a Luger, South Coast Seacraft owner, or are a sailor in general. Send your e mail to Luger@buckeyeinternet.com. We here at the Luger Owners' Association frown upon members hiding their identity behind free e mail accounts or Lurking (lurking means to view messages and material but refrain from participating on our forums). The Luger Owners' Association consists of only open, friendly advice giving sailing friends (Luger, South Coast Seacraft owners and other sailors alike). If you do not plan on participating, this web site is not for you. If this is the case, we recommend you move on to another nautical web site of your choice. For those of you who are genuinely interested in participating here on the Luger Owners' Association and were for one reason or another denied access, please contact us at Luger@buckeyeinternet.com and we will guide you through the application process. Please, if you decide to join, make sure you take time to post a message within 24 hours of approval. Those members who do not post a message, will be viewed as spam. It is typical of spam related companies to "fish" msn hosted sites to gain access to the forum or file sections of the site. Once they do so, they usually post material that is offensive to most "family" orientated members. We at the Luger Owners' Association work hard daily keeping the forum and member lists free and clear off all spam related material. Please note that by posting any and all messages, photos and files provides the LOA ownership of such material. In short, If you post a message, a photo, a document, you are relinquishing your rights of ownership. If in the future, you decide to remove your membership from the LOA, it is not our responsibility to remove your material. We are no different than any other forum on the net. Once you post it (message, photo or document), it's there to stay. If at any time, we become suspicious of your activity on the LOA, we reserve the right to revoke your membership without warning.
