The Luger List

The list of Luger boats is quite long. Early on, Luger Industries built and sold plywood power boat kits. The switch to fiberglas ran paralel to a growing interest in sailing so they introduced more sailboats and deleted the power boats. Early boats were shipped in sections.  For example, the Windward 21 came in a cardboard box 22 feet long, 6 feet high and 18 inches thick!   They sold power boats as large as 30 feet in this same way.  In the final years some of the sailboat hulls were converted to power boats.

Here is the list of boats I remember and listed in the final catalogue printed.

15 ft. Scamper (A cross between a sailboat and a sailboard)
15 ft. White Cloud Skimmer (Similar to a sunfish sailboat)

The White Cloud skimmer did not enjoy a long production as many of Luger's other sailboat kits, but it
has the distinction of being the first sailboat kit offered by Luger Bros.   I think it was back in 1961...

16 ft Leeward
16 ft Seabreeze (looks to me to be a Leeward hull + new deck/cabin)
21 ft Windward
21 ft Southwind
21 ft Westwind (Open daysailer -- no cabin)
21 ft Sport Fisherman power boat no sails
21 ft Pilothouse
22 ft  Windsong fixed keel
24 ft Sea Wind Catarmaran
26 ft Tradeswind
26 ft Windward (Open daysailer -- no cabin)
26 ft Sport Fisherman (Tradewinds hull converted to power)
26 ft Pilothouse
27 ft Fairwinds (Actually a tradewinds hull & deck with a 15 in. riser )
30 ft Coaster
30 ft Voyager
30 ft Adventurer (Voyager hull & motorsailer deck)
30 ft Vagabond (Voyager hull W/ trawler deck -- no sails)
