Montclair University Gamers began in Fall of 2004. As a fledgling club we've grown over the past semesters. We're focused on providing a place and time for people who enjoy playing games and who want to take a break from their studies to come play some games and blow off some steam. We play all sorts of games - everything from Chess to Console games such as Halo, Madden, or Mario Party. There is usually something always going on and someone around for a quick game of whatever is on hand. We've also started to run events to help get other students from the university more involved. We're here to help make a community atmosphere. And we're here to stay.

In Spring Semester 2006, M.U.G. finally found an advisor to support us in the form of Mr. Hayden Greene. We are very happy and grateful to have him as our advisor for M.U.G. Thanks to his help and the help of all members of M.U.G. we were able to get chartered by Montclair State's SGA. As of Wed. Feb. 15, 2006 M.U.G. is a Class III Organization of the S.G.A.

Then as of Fall Semester 2007, M.U.G. joined the Collegiate Association of Table Top Gamers (CATTG) and became its seventh chapter on September 22, 2007.

In Spring Semester 2008, M.U.G. was granted an upgrade in its charter by Montclair State's SGA. As of Wed. Feb. 27, 2008 M.U.G. is a Class II Organization of the S.G.A.
