Crumpets are an age old traditional tea time treat. The English have been savouring them for many years. The delicate holes in the crumpet allow for the melting butter to penetrate and make for a delicious snack.

Toasted to perfection, they can be eaten with butter alone or at breakfast time with jam or marmalade. If however, you happen to be on a diet, you can enjoy them with a low fat cheese spread. In fact you can put whatever you like on them!

Crumpets are now available in Malta at a price you can afford. They have in the past been imported frozen from UK and have been ridiculously priced at around LM1 per pack. Now they are available fresh baked daily at 30c for a large pack of 5 .Retail price is 45c.
