THE NOW INFO

THE NOW

Gary Blackman-Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
Simon Bladon-Bass Guitar Vocals
Dan Kelly-Drums
Adi Plumb-Lead Guitar Vocals

The Now formed in September 2002, although we have all played together in other bands spanning a period of 17 years.
Gary has played extensively with a number of local bands doing a lot of live, studio and radio work.
He also makes his living by teaching music at all levels and is a very fluent songwriter writing songs for others as well as The Now. Simon has played for numerous local bands in a live, studio and radio capacity, Dan has spent many years touring , recording for many bands locally, nationally and internationally. Most recently toured with Canadian band The Stoters in Scandinavia and Switzerland. He also spent a ten year period playing for singer songwriter Clint Bradley recording at Abbey Road with members of Ian Dury’s band The Blockheads, sorry about the name dropping but it just had to be done. Adi also played for numerous local bands in a live, studio and radio capacity.

The Now are a sharp powerful mod quartet.

Bringing together classic mod anthems as well as their own essential original songs in one power packed show.

The Now are a vital musical force to be reckoned with.

I have heard an excellent 7 track demo of this band and they are well worth going to see or to book for your event. The songs done on the demo are covers done brilliantly of

Strange Town
Big Bird
Everybody’s Gonna Be Happy

Plus 2 of their own great compositions

My World
The Little Lions
