Piper and Leo's second son, baby Christopher is the newest little Halliwell. While he cannot even speak yet, his parents have some idea of the type of person he will become because his twenty-two-year-old self returned from the future to try and save Wyatt from turning evil. Chris died in Leo's arms but did he manage to change the future? Will baby Christopher meet the same fate? And how will Piper and Leo handle suspecting their son's early death?

Since Piper and Leo met their son before he was even born, Chris came pre-named, but he was originally named after Leo's father.

                    

A handsome stranger from the future, Chris Perry was assigned to act as the sisters' new whitelighter in Leo's absence. However, Chris was not all that he seemed to be.

Chris appeared suddenly during an attack, saving Phoebe from being turned to stone. He claims to be from about twenty years from the future and says he returned to help the sisters defeat the Titans. Having done so, Chris finds himself stranded in the present, uncertain of what would await him if he returned to the future. With Leo accepting a position as an Elder, the Elders offered Chris the assignment of acting as the Charmed Ones' whitelighter, which he accepted. Though when Leo admitted that he did not trust Chris, he used his powers against Leo and sent him to Valhalla.

When Leo returned from Valhalla, he was ready to strip Chris of his whitelighter status because of his suspicions of what Chris had done to him. However, the more time Leo spent with Chris, he began to realize that Chris came to the present in order to keep something terrible from happening to Wyatt, so Leo has grown to trust him more and more. However, while he has been acting as the sisters' whitelighter, Chris did some rather un-whitelighter things, such as working with a demon to help him attack the sisters in order to teach them a lesson.

The sisters gained a little more information about him when his fiancée Bianca appeared in the present, trying to remove Chris' powers in order to drag him back to the future: Chris finally revealed to them that he is actually half-witch, half-whitelighter. His brief trip the future, while painful for him because he had to watch his fiancée die, allowed him to see that he still had work to do to keep Wyatt from becoming the power-mad tyrant he had known. After Phoebe received a glimpse of the future through a vision quest, she discovered why Chris is so concerned about Wyatt: he is Wyatt's little brother.

Chris struggled for many weeks with trying to get his parents back together and on the day of his conception, Chris became concerned when he started to fade. Eventually he disappeared completely, but happily reappeared after a dangerous situation brought Piper and Leo back together for a night. Once Paige and Phoebe told Piper that Chris was her son, she wanted to get closer to him but Chris resisted. Concerned, Piper asked her father Victor to find out what was bothering Chris. Because he was close to Victor in the future, Chris felt comfortable enough to reveal that although he loves Piper he did not want to get close to in the present because in his future she has been dead since he was fourteen. Victor and Piper made him realize that he needed to appreciate the time that he had with Piper in the present and that he might have changed her future all ready. Chris allowed himself to grow closer to Piper, calling her mom, but when Leo finally returned he surprised even himself by unleashing his rage at Leo. When questioned, he admitted to Leo that while he had been there for everyone—Piper, Wyatt, half of the world—Leo had never been there for him.

Chris' efforts to protect his brother ultimately lead to his death. Trying to protect Wyatt, Chris was mortally stabbed by Gideon. Because Gideon had blessed the weapon he had used, only he could heal his wound. With Leo by his side, Chris died and vanished.
