Stasis pods are used to contain New Mutants apprehended by the GSA. They lower the metabolism and bodily functions of the New Mutant, effectively putting them into a form of regulated coma. The stasis pods are controlled by a central core, which administered a closely regulated stasis field. It has been determined that New Mutants placed into stasis can be revived, as in the case of Gabriel Ashlocke.
