If you are sharing Copy & Paste Pages (backgrounds) here at Managers Helping Managers please read through the following rules.

We DO NOT allow Adult Content artist on any of our boards, regardless of whether the artist involved states that you do not have to add their URL to their graphics and that you only need to add their copyright information (ŠArtist's Name) to the image.
You MAY NOT post their graphics in MHM as per our rules.
The only exception to this rule is OBD, which we have permission to only credit as ŠOBD and the reason for this is that it cannot be google by the initials alone. So anyone using OBD posers in MHM (ONLY) may only use the credits as shown above.

Please note that when time permits we do check all artists' work, especially their TOU and if they have any Adult Content on their website.

If the graphic used is not compliant to the artist's TOU or the artist has Adult Content on their website then it will be deleted from MHM.

If the graphics are questionable as in PTU or there is no ID Number or Registration Name, we will require proof of its use via email to the managers as to the legal usages by that artist. If your background (page) has been deleted and you require a reason as to why, you may ask why it was deleted on our STAFF BOARD.

1. All background (pages) must have legible and proper credits given to the artists / sites on all images (page headers). This includes artwork from artists that allow their work to be used in the making of pages, images you have created yourself from scratch, tubes, clipart, photographs, background tiles etc. used on these pages, and this information MUST be placed on the header graphic (in case it is snagged) and it MUST also be placed at the bottom of the page.
If we cannot read any of the credits your page will be deleted.

2. Only backgrounds with 1 page header are allowed to be posted on the Copy & Paste board (no buttons). The only exception to this rule is when it's a Calendar or Zodiac background, then you may add buttons to this background. Anything else then becomes a Webpage and those are made by our Graphic Design Team.
If you post more than one page header on your background it will be deleted. If unsure then please ask on the Staff Board.

Proper artists and copyright credits:-

The section below will show you examples of proper artist and copyright credits. All background lacking proper Artist credits and Copyrights will be deleted, because they are not complying with copyright law.

Using your own art / images:-

Proper credit (IF YOU created the art / images used) would be something like:-
(a) Very simple credit - Created by "YourNameHere" Š2008
(b) More specific credit - Created by "YourNameHere" at www.mysitelink...com Š Copyright 2008. All rights reserved.
(c) To be even more specific - Created using PI and PSPX available at www.corel.com, by "YourNameHere" using licensed Clipart from RandomArtist-CD purchased from www.clipartexamplelink.com Copyright Š"YourNameHere" 2008

You can get as specific as you want with your copyrights or keep it simple, as long as the credits are there. The more specific the better!

Using someone else's images / backgrounds:-

Now if you did not create the backgrounds / images that you are sharing, but only "assembled" them from other sets or using various images / backgrounds, proper credit would be (IF you have permission to use the images)

(a) Assembled by "YourNameHere" using images with permission from Š2008 GiftsWebsite.

Note that in the above there is NO copyright for "YourNameHere" because that person did not create the images / backgrounds, they "assembled" them from someone else's work (with permission) and cannot claim copyright to them, but the copyright credit and link for the images / backgrounds is given as required.

My Space & Blog Sites:-
It has come to our attention that a lot of "My Space" backgrounds are being used in the making of pages. As we cannot verify who the maker / artists are in a lot of these pages, we feel that it is in the interests of this group NOT to allow anything from "My Space" backgrounds unless the artist's copyright is clearly on the tag or background. A lot of the tiles are from all over and these are also very hard to verify who the artist is.
We do not want to seem picky, but "My Space" backgrounds seem to allow anyone to share anything with no respect for the artists or their copyright. So please if anyone is using "My Space items or backgrounds, please be absolutely sure that what you are using is 100% copyright compliant or it will be deleted.
Just to add to this so that you are all aware...A lot of the my space backgrounds also link to adult content, which is another NO NO here as you are all aware.

We have also noticed the use of graphics from blog sites. These are not credited correctly, as the blog site does not own the graphics, they have just collected them from other sites on the net without regard to copyright credits to the original artist. As such, these type of backgrounds are not be used in the making of web pages / backs either, and will be deleted in the future.

LASTLY, there are a lot of backgrounds/tiles here from "auto scripters" and "auto webset makers" - THOSE must be credited also to the artist who created the backgrounds. If you operate an auto background creator, please make sure that on your website where the generator is, that you have proper credits to the artist (yourself or otherwise) for all the backgrounds. If you add TAGS or IMAGES to those backgrounds when posting in MHM, or any backgrounds, please ensure that these images are credited. These credits MUST be placed on the header graphic (in case it is snagged) and all credits MUST also be placed at the bottom of the page.

If you have things shared now that are lacking proper credits for the Artist (whether it's yourself or someone else) or copyright (whether the Š belongs to you or somone else) then please RE-post them with proper credits and copyrights.

** Posting Snags In Posts On Backgrounds**
We have noticed that some members are posting snags in their posts on their backgrounds (pages). Please note that all snags WILL be deleted even if on a C/P page, as we already have a ŠSafe Snags board where our ŠSafe Team post snags for our members.
