Author’s Bio

My name is Mark Alan Shaffer, youngest of two sons born to a Printer and his wife in the mid-size town of Alliance, Ohio. My Brother lives in Colorado, so I don’t get to see him too often. I lived in Alliance for about 20 years, now I live in Salem, still in Ohio and not far from Youngstown. I have two grown daughters, one working as much as she can, and the other is married and hoping to starting a family of her own. I enjoy writing and photography as a hobby, actually writing is more than a hobby to me. It is what I enjoy doing whenever I have any spare time or when I have a thought that I know I have to write down before I forget it. I have found it is a good way to relax and escape after a hard day. I have been writing now for about 20 years.  In May of 2003 PublishAmerica published my Science fiction book TRANSFERENCE.  I also have some poems on the Poetry.com web site. Feel free to look them up. Writing has been a chance for me to tell a story in my own words. The story is that I think there is a bright future for Earth and mankind.
