Paragon

 

Paragon is the new high-technology centre that will be the corporate and production headquarters for the TAG McLaren Group. This innovative centre, designed by renowned architect Lord Norman Foster, will bring together all of the Group’s activities under one roof. The state of the art building will be its flagship and cater for the Group’s long term growth.

Housed on a 200-acre site in Woking, UK the centre is currently under construction and is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2002.
Paragon will comprise laboratories, research and testing facilities, electronics development, machine shops and prototyping facilities. There will also be a vast wind tunnel capable of accommodating full-scale car models for aerodynamics efficiency testing and this will be the first part of the technology centre to be brought into operation.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, which is being jointly developed by the TAG McLaren Group and DaimlerChrysler, will be manufactured at Paragon.
