We believe it to be very important that we learn and educate ourselves as much as possible on a ongoing basis. It is because of this that we stay activiley learning. Should you have the opportunity to attend any of the following we recommend them to all, but it is also important to remember everyone is an individual and you must take what you consider important from any class/seminar and apply the information successfully to your own needs.

Pat is well respected in dog-world as an educator, author and AKC judge. Well-known for her Puppy Puzzle video, she evaluates the structural quality of over 300 litters per year. CANINE SUCCESS - Obedience Level 1

Myra Savant Harris - PUPPY INTENSIVE CARE & CANINE REPRODUCTION AND WHELPING
Puppy Intensive Care - teaches dog breeders what techniques that are available in order to set up a Puppy Intensive Care Unit and deliver the support that their sick puppies need. The seminar teaches how to tube feed, utilize sub cutaneous hydration methods and deliver oxygen to pups who would otherwise die. You can learn how to do the things you need to do to keep your puppy losses to a minimum. There is a book that comes with an instructional DVD as well that demonstrates the hands-on skills that every dog breeder needs.
Canine Reproduction and Whelping: Down to the basics of breeding, explaining the characteristics of the sperm and the egg, the role that diet plays in whelping, and how to whelp your puppies. This is intended to assist you in making sure your bitches get in whelp, stay in whelp and deliver healthy puppies. A clean, bloodless technique for the removal of dew claws is also taught to the layman dog breeder.
Myra Savant-Harris is a Registered Nurse with many years experience working labor/delivery and neonatal ICU. Her two books, "Puppy Intensive Care" and "Canine Reproduction and Whelping" translate many of the things she learned in her career into puppy and canine repro terms.
