BATON ROUGE - Funeral services for Mrs. Genevieve Cannella Barone, 81, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005, in Rabenhorst East Chapel here with burial in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Denham Springs.  The Rev. Jerry Martin, St. Patrick Catholic Church, will conduct the services.

Mrs. Barone, a resident of Baton Rouge for 31 years and a native of Melville, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2005, at Landmark of Baton Rouge. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and George Molloy of Marietta, Ga., and Alicia and Dwain Rand of Watson; one son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Sue Trahan of Krotz Springs; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Joyce and David Breaux, and Josephine "Bebe" Haynes; one brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Anneka Cannella; and grandchildren, Matt and Mandy Molloy, Alex and Dawson Rand, Holly Laiche and Caitlin Trahan.

Mrs. Barone was preceded in death by her husbands, Carmelo Barone and Roland Trahan; her parents, Victor Cannella and Frances Todora Cannella; two brothers, Samuel "Sonny" Cannella and Gordon Cannella; and one nephew, Mark Cannella.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2041 Silverside Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70808.

Visiting hours will be observed from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday in Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Fla. Blvd., Baton Rouge, which is in charge of arrangements.
