Donald Gremillion (who later became a doctor and practiced in Melville. 

Funeral services for Forest John Gremillion will be held 2.30 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas with burial at Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Keith Milligan of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Abbeville, Rt. Rev. D. Bruce MacPherson, Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Western Louisiana will celebrate the Eucharist, Rev. Milligan will officiate at the burial services and the homily.

Mr. Gremillion, 44, died at his residence on June 13. 2005.

Survivors include; His mother, Alice J. Gremillion of Prescott, Az. brothers, Edward "Teddy" Gremillion of Rockville, Md and George D. Gremillion of Opelousas; sister, Patti G. Trahern of Prescott, Az.

Forest was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Donald F. Gremillion.

Forest received his education in Cherry Street Academy and at Saint Stanislaus School in Bay St. Louis, Ms. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and Louisiana State University in Eunice, La. For several years he worked with local bands such as "Mamou." He was always an ardent camper, hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted member of Epiphany Episcopal Church and participated in several missions sent to the Dominican Republic. He also acted as lay person in charge of St. Nathaniel's Episcopal Mission in Melville for several years.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of the arrangements.
