Gerace/Bergeron
Rhonda Lynn Gerace and Aaron Louis Bergeron exchanged marriage vows Nov. 19, 2005 at Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church in Opelousas. The Rev. Dale Hensarling conducted the 6 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
Douglas and Candy Gerace of Melville are the parents of the bride. The groom is the son of the late Louis and Eva Bergeron.
The Scriptures were read by Crystal Stelly, godmother of the bride, and Kristy Williamson.
Music for this special occasion was provided by Anthony Polotzola, Lana Duvall and David Glover (trumpet).
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown featuring a beaded crystal bodice with a draped skirt and inset.
To complete her ensemble, she chose a crown of pearls and crystals with an attached waist-length veil adorned with Swarovski crystals throughout with a satin edging. She carried a bouquet of three dozen ribbon-tied roses adorned with Swarovski crystals and her parent's family rosary.
Serving as honor attendant was Joy Gerace, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaids were Phyllis Sicard, Samantha Gerace, sister-in-law of the bride, Jessica Gilpin, Robi Dupré, Rhonda Johnson and Ashley Bergeron, daughter of the groom. Hannah Johnson, daughter of the bride, served as the junior bridesmaid. Kaylee Bergeron, daughter of the groom, served as the flower girl.
Don Stelly served as the best man. Groomsmen were Adam Gerace and Nicholas Gerace, brothers of the bride, Matthew Scruggins, Tyler Bergeron, son of the groom, Nick Duplechain and Christopher Mark Stelly, nephew of the groom.
Escorting guests to their seats were Nick Stelly and Derek Stelly, godchildren of the groom.
Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Port Barre was chosen for the reception in honor of the newlywed couple.
Following a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, the couple is making their home in Port Barre.
