Guy Monroe and Guy Marvin Havard

My Dad is Guy Marvin Havard, son of Guy Monroe Havard and Annie Claudia George Havard.  He grew up in Melville, leaving there only to attend McNeese University.  He taught at Melville High for 20 years.  He is married to Lucy Stockman Havard.  He recently moved to Central, just outside Baton Rouge, to care for his elderly mom.  If you'd like to get in touch with him, let me know.  I know he would love to hear from all of you.

My grandfather (Guy Monroe Havard) was also a long-time resident of Melville.  He was the manager of the old Standard Oil Plant on Walnut Street.  He is buried in the First
Baptist Church Cemetary in Melville.

September 2004 update: My grandmother, Annie Claudia George Havard, passed away on July 21, 2004.  Mom and Dad plan to remain in Central as they have really enjoyed the community, their neighbors, and their new church.  Dad and I would still love to hear from MHS graduates.  I think we should have a gathering of all MHS graduates who live in the Baton Rouge area...there are a lot of us!  Send me an email!
