Melville Principals - Prof. Stinson, Mr. Bordelon, Mr. Pete, Mr. Ed and Mr. Ray
Pete A. Antie announces run for District 38 House of Representative's seat.

Antie is a native of Avoyelles Parish, and has been a resident of Melville for more than 60 years. He served his country during World War II, and his community as a teacher and principal for more than 30 years.
Antie is currently serving his fourth term as alderman in the Town of Melville. This year, he and his wife, the former Ruth McAdams, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. Antie states that during his tenures as alderman, several major projects were completed. These included the emergency heli-port, restoration of the civic center, library, medical clinic, and a new gas and water system. He asks the public for its support to continue serving the citizens of Louisiana.
A reader tells us that on Dec. 27, 2006, Pete Antie was sworn in as an alderman for the town of Melville — at the age of 91. Says our reliable source, “Of the current elected officials throughout Louisiana, I wonder if there is anyone outranking Mr. Antie age-wise?”
