Daily World Newspaper: Opelousas, Louisiana - 1950

Ed Aguillard, veteran's instructor and Pete Antie went to Baton Rouge Monday to attend the vocational conference at L.S.U.  They expect to return to Melville Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Ulrich of Port Arthur, TEX returned to their home after spending the weekend with Mrs. Ulrich's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Conley.

Mr. and Mrs. D.D. Singleton and son, Ronald, of Texarkana, TEX arrived Friday for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Campbell and children.  They will return to their home Tuesday accompanied by Mrs. Campbell and her two children who will remain in Texarkana until Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Tillery of Baton Rouge were the guests of the V.H. Long family for several hours Sunday afternoon.  They were accompanied home by Misses Betty Thomas and Charlotte Long who spent the weekend in Melville and Palmetto.

Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Jackson and daughter, Genies Anne, attended the Masonic picnic at the Evangeline Park in St. Martinville.
