The Metrosexual
Men are changing and under the current standard societal norms labels are applied. The label Metrosexual has been applied to men who are more interested in their appearance than most men; more into shopping and more in touch with their feelings.
The label itself is not important, but the change in men is significant. These changes are leading men away from the macho aggressive attitudes that have pervaded society for thousands of years. Men have grown up in a society that expected them to be dominant and often violent. Today, men can be gentle, caring and conscious of their appearance without feeling less masculine.
The concept of being a man is being redefined for the better. The Metrosexual man is the lead into a whole understanding of maleness.
