Bluesman Tom Malafarina here for my band, The Blues City Blues Band from Reading, PA.

Recently we were in the studio to record two new original Christmas tunes which I wrote. They are “Will You Come Home To Me This Christmas” and a funny blues tune called “Christmas Ball Blues”.

Both of these tunes are available for your listening pleasure or for download if you prefer at on the Podsafe Network at:

http://podsafemusicnetwork.com/music/listeners/artistdetails.php?BandHash=1d7f137f8010ad88d6b42694acb7daf2

The first tune “Will You Come Home To Me This Christmas” features myself on lead vocals and bass, Doug Babczak on guitar and Bill Melcher on drums. Helping me out on backing vocals is Keith “Van” VanEtten of The Blues Factor, who also recorded and mixed the song assisted by his son Brad VanEtten.

The second is called “Christmas Ball Blues”. It is a heavier and irreverent double entendre tune featuring myself on lead vocals, Brad VanEtten on bass, Bill Melcher on Drums, Doug Babczak and Keith “Van” VanEtten on guitars. We all participated in the backing “vocals”. With background lyrics like “Christmas Balls you Broke My Christmas Balls” how can it go wrong?

Hi Folks,

Here's a site you may find interesting www.allblues4u.com .

This month's CD draw is for Clapton's new CD & Peter Guralnick's book "Searching for Robert Johnson." You can also view a video of Clapton discussing his new CD and listen to some tracks from the CD.

A couple of other things of interest on the site are a 5 part series on the blues from the Chicago Sun-Times and some fairly decent photos of that I have had the pleasure to take of artists such as Otis Rush, Joe Louis Walker, Coco Montoya, Pinetop Perkins, etc etc.

Here's a site where you can get a free blues magazine in your email. They have interviews with Blues musicians and lots of other cool stuff. Check it out! Thx Strongfox for the recommendation.

Happy Valentine's Day...I found a great blues CD from Chilmark Entertainment, and the best part is that they digitally remastered the old recordings to make a great new sound! No pops... no hums... I felt like I was listening to studio tapes made last week, instead of records from the 40's and 50's.

And I saved a bundle on their offer...no shipping charges either. Click here to see for yourself...it's great music. http://store.chilmark.cc/legends/detail.aspx?ID=1

Have fun and let me know what you think.

Mike
