We have 3 Dance Troupes in Residence, performances available for students.

Price for Single One Hour Class:  $15.00
                                                With $22.00 Annual Registration Fee $48.00 per month for one class per week or $89.00 per month for 2 classes per week

This is an 8 week course open only to residents of Gloucester Township, NJ.  There is a summer, fall, winter and spring cycle.

 

Cost is $45.  $35 goes to the instructor and $10 to the Township.

This class is offered at a very low price because it is subsidized by the tax dollars of township residents.

 

Please contact the Gloucester Township Recreation Department for further information.  Township residents will receive a brochure in the mail a few weeks before classes begin. 

 

Pre-registration is highly recommended, as classes routinely sell out.

The belly is the core of a woman's being, her feminity and her center of power. Awarenes of your belly and it's proper alignment is only the first step towards a "better" Belly.  Belly dance will improve your awarenes on the indies of who you are as well as enhance confidence on the outside. A fun way to tone the body and calm the mind, this belly dance class is for women of all shapes, sizes, and ability levels.

Nyla will break down the basic shapes (undulations, figure 8s, circles and hipwork), 

steps and traveling techinques, creating foundation for layering, with a focus on 

developing proper posture, and flexibility. Movement, shapes and steps will be

put into combinations. Suitable for beginners as well as dancers of all levels.

Intermediate  6-7 PM (starting  March 13)
Beginners 7-8 PM (starting  March 13)
WEDNESDAYS ):
Beginners 6-7PM  (starting  March 15)
Advanced Choreography7-8PM (starting   March 15)
Advanced Technique 8-9PM  (starting March 15)
FEES:   All  classes  are $96 for 8 weeks (1 class per week); $160 for 8 weeks (2 classes per week) (a savings of $32) Single classes:  $15 per class.
Private classes:  $55 per hour (1 person), $50 each (2  people)

REGISTRATION:
Because of the possibility of overcrowding I must ask that EVERYONE pre-register by PHONE or E-MAIL for ALL
CLASSES. You need to give your name and phone number and what class you wish to register for. All new beginners must pay the full registration fee one week before the start of the term.

POLICIES:
Intermediate and Advanced students who are not going to be present at the first class of 8 weeks must also pay in advance in order to hold their place  in class. 

Missed classes must be made up within  the same  8 week session

No refunds after the first week of classes.

Please note: if beginners classes fill up a third class will be held Mondays 8-9pm.

This class will accomodate the beginner and the advanced.  Classes include warm ups involving various stretching and toning  modalities. These classes will teach the dancer how to incorporate energy, style, poise and grace into their isolated movements. We have regular trips to restaurants and costume nights as

well as performances from time to time. History and culture are discussed with a unique look into what the costume represents and how to absorb the spirit and culture of the custume into your dance.

The students will learn self-esteem and knowledge of her true core self.
